Ⓜ️ Mark Zuckerberg scares experts as he announces that Meta will build a powerful AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) system capable of carrying out a wide array of tasks on par with humans. He added that the technology will be open source to make it as widely available as possible. He also shared that by the end of 2024, Meta will build a "massive compute infrastructure" that includes 350,000 H100 GPUs from Nvidia to support his AGI research. These GPUs currently cost anywhere between $25,000 and $30,000 on eBay.
