Shiba Inu developers said in an introductory post that Shibarium would be focused on the metaverse and gaming applications, especially as they expect the NFT sector to heat up in the coming years and to launch beta on the Layer-2 network. The imminent launch of the Shibarium may contribute to strong fundamentals for Shiba Inu to position itself as a serious project on its own blockchain network and further bolster the fundamental of the three tokens on its ecosystem, $SHIB, $LEASH, and $BONE. Developers also announced that each transaction on Shibarium will burn a certain amount of SHIB tokens, but the amount has not been decided yet.
