NFT influencer named NFT God has shared that every crypto account connected to him, both personal and professional, has been hacked. Hours later — after a series of phishing tweets posted by the attackers on Twitter, he realized that the malware was downloaded from the sponsored Google advertisement. He has lost at least 19 ETH worth nearly $27,000, a MAYC NFT worth $25,000, and multiple other NFTs. A report from January 12 shows that this wasn't the first time Google Ads has delivered malware. Cybersecurity firm Cyble has already warned of an information-stealing malware called "Rhadamanthys Stealer" being spread through Google Ads. Google has yet to comment on this situation but said it "actively works with trusted advertisers and partners to help prevent malware in ads."
